Tunisia: “Teleperformance” denies relocation to Morocco

Mongi Ben Mbarek, Secretary General of the Union of Tunisian Post and Telecommunications (PTT) denied plans by telecommunications company “Teleperformance” to leave Tunisia to Morocco.

This statement comes after rumors spread on the Internet in the wake of the general strike staged by more than 5,000 employees of TP against the marginalization of their claims.

Mongi Ben Mbarek said Teleperformance is about to open another site on the Tunisian territory.

Employees of Teleperformance Tunisia, Tuesday, began a two-day strike. More than 5000 employees work in TP sites in Tunis, Ben Arous and Sousse.

Secretary General of the General Union of Teleperformance Tunisia Ali Wrak said the strike comes as the company management has marginalized the claims of employees and kept delaying the implementation of several agreements signed between the two parties.
