According to proprietary data provided by the Office of the Merchant Marine and Ports (OMMP) to AfricanManager, the overall traffic of goods transiting through Tunisian commercial ports reached 8.3 million tons in the year 2017 of which 4.2 million tons of goods are handled by containers and 1.9% of tons of goods handled in rolling units.
Note that the Tunisian port chain, which extends over 1300km, is composed of eight commercial ports open to international traffic.
