Tunisia: 4,680 tons of Maltese oranges exported and counting

Tunisia’s revenues from the export of Maltese oranges, olive oil and dates since the start of the 2023-2024 agricultural season have amounted to around TND 2.146 billion. This was announced by Dorsaf Ben Ahmed, representative of the General Administration of Agricultural Production at the Tunisian Ministry of Agriculture, during a press conference held on February 28, 2024. Ben Ahmed added that Tunisia had exported 4,680 tons of Maltese oranges since the start of the season, worth 18 million Tunisian dinars, noting that the export process was continuing and that Tunisian citrus production was expected to reach 365,000 tons, including around 90,000 tons of Maltese oranges.
