Tunisia was ranked 4th best destination for French retirees in the 2014 ranking of the best destinations to spend their retirement abroad, prepared by the retraite-etranger.fr, a specializing French website relayed by “l’express.”
Tunisia came just behind Thailand, Mauritius Island and Morocco which is on the top.
The ranking is based on eight criteria, namely the cost of living, the value of real estate, the climate / environment, culture/ recreation, medical care, security/ stability, ease of integration and infrastructure…
Tunisia earned this place due to the very low value of real estate compared to other countries, but also in terms of ease of integration.
Bad criteria involve insecurity but also the weakness of the Tunisian infrastructure.
