A budget of 5,400 million Tunisian dinars (MTD) will be allocated to public investment during the year 2016, Finance Minister Slim Chaker said at a press conference on the 2016 Finance Bill.
He indicated that 47% (2,480 MTD) of this amount is actually a balance of funds not used in 2015.
The other 53% (2,800 MTD) will be new investments, according to the minister who insisted that they will be spent at 100% without giving details of the projects.
A similar budget (2,800 MTD) will be spent each year in the fiscal years 2017 and 2018.
