National Geographic Traveler magazine has ranked Tunisia among the best tourist destinations for 2015.
It came in the 7th position in the TOP 20 of the best destinations to visit next year for its sites such as Byrsa Hill, Carthage, the Old Medina, the Sahara, the resorts of Hammamet and Sousse.
The magazine also praised the Tunisian cuisine, which is “an aromatic blend of Middle Eastern, Africa and, Mediterranean influences,” citing in particular the fish couscous and Kabkabou (sea bream with tomatoes and capers).
For shopping, it recommends perfumes, incense, gold and silver jewelry, silk and other gifts that tourists can find in the souks of the medina of Tunis.
