Tunisia: 83 MD invested in expansion of UNIMED inaugurated by BCE

As part of his visit to Sousse on Wednesday, October 4, 2017, Tunisian Head of State Beji Caïd Essebsi, inaugurated the expansion of the Unimed pharmaceuticals Laboratories owned by MP Ridha Charfeddine, in the industrial zone of Kalaa Kebira.

This expansion required financing that will exceed 83 MD by 2020 and will create more than 350 new jobs, according to a statement issued by the Presidency of the Republic.

Charfeddine gave a presentation on working methods and the mechanisms developed, as well as on the quality of medicines that include special pharmaceutical fluids in the field of ophthalmology and ENT, including antibiotics.

He highlighted the state’s support to private investment in this sector, which allows the development of the pharmaceutical industries in Tunisia, the creation of added value and employment for university graduates.
