Tunisia: A record year 2025 for MPBS’s commercial activity

The Manufacture De Panneaux Bois Du Sud (MPBS) has released its consolidated financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2025, revealing a significant expansion of its business footprint and a robust financial structure.

The group posted vigorous commercial growth, although net profit attributable to the group saw a slight decline.

For the parent company alone, 2025 marked an unprecedented acceleration in activity. Turnover surged to 105.6 million dinars, up from 83.7 million in 2024 – a remarkable 26.2% increase.

This momentum was driven primarily by local sales (100.1 million dinars), while exports also showed strong vitality at nearly 10 million dinars.

At the bottom line, performance was even more striking: net profit reached 7.4 million dinars, compared to 5.4 million the previous year – a 37% leap.

An awakening of ESG consciousness

Beyond the numbers, MPBS is embarking on a transformation toward more responsible management. For the first time, the company has integrated a detailed section on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors into its financial notes.

The Board of Directors now directly oversees sustainability issues. The company is preparing to identify climate risks, although it notes that it is not currently affected by the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).
