Tunisia: ADWYA falls into red in H1

The company ADWYA showed a net loss of 2.8 million dinars at the end of the first half of the current year, against a profit of 1 million dinars a year earlier.

The producer of pharmaceutical products and Para pharmaceuticals has achieved a turnover of 34.2 million dinars, at the end of June this year, against 44.4 million a year earlier, down 23%.

These revenues came mainly from sales of finished generic pharmacy products for 16.3 million dinars (-18%) and sales of finished pharmacy sublicense products for 15.4 million dinars (-28%).

Operating expenses for the period amounted to 43 million dinars, compared to 55 million at the end of the first six months of last year, a decline of 22%.

As a result, the operating result came out negative by 148 thousand dinars, against a profit of 5 million dinars at the end of June 2020.

The net financial expenses dropped 23% to 2.6 million dinars, from 3.4 million in the first half of last year, including 1 million dinars of interest on term loans.

In addition, the company’s financial commitments amounted to 15 million dinars at the end of last June, compared to 20.1 million on December 31, 2020.
