Tunisia: ADWYA records historic deficit of 7.2 million dinars in 2022

The pharmaceutical company ADWYA has published its financial statements for the year ending December 31, 2022. These show a net loss of 7.2 million dinars, compared to a profit of 1.5 million dinars at the end of 2021.

For 2022, the company’s operating income fell by 5.5% to 96 million dinars. On the other hand, operating expenses amounted to 96.6 million dinars, compared to 94.7 million dinars at the end of 2021.

As a result, the operating result was a loss of 645 thousand dinars, compared to a surplus of 6.9 million dinars a year earlier.

Net financial expenses amounted to 6.5 million dinars compared to 5 million dinars at 31 December 2021, an increase of 30%.

The company was delisted from the Tunis Stock Exchange in January 2023, following the public takeover bid by the Kilani Group, which acquired 99.19% of the company’s capital.
