Tunisia: Air Liquide stabilizes half-year profit at 13 million dinars

Air Liquide Tunisie has published its interim financial statements for the six months ended June 30, 2022.

The company reported a 6% increase in net profit for the first half of the year to TND 13.8 million, compared with TND 13 million at the end of June 2022.

Turnover from gas sales in the first half of 2023 was TND 17.2 million, compared with TND 19.8 million a year earlier, a decline of 13%. The cost of sales was TND 15.4 million dinars, down 4.5% compared with the same period in 2022.

As a result, the gross margin for the period fell sharply by 52% to TND 1.7 million, compared with TND 3.5 million at the end of the first half of 2022.

As a result, the company achieved an operating profit of TND 316,000 at the end of June, compared to TND 2.2 million a year earlier, a decrease of almost 100%.

On the other hand, net financial income (TND 416,000), income from investments (TND 711,000) and income from participations (TND 12.7 million) enabled the company to achieve a half-year net profit of TND 13 million.

Income from investments includes dividends to be received from the subsidiary Air Liquide Tunisie Services for the 2022 financial year.
