Tunisia: ASSAD sees 20% drop in sales in H1 2020

The company ASSAD saw its turnover decrease by 20.8% at the end of the first half of the year, compared to the same period in 2019 from 55.2 million dinars to 43.7 million.

On the local market, the turnover went up 6.1% compared to the first half of last year to 18.3 million dinars.

On the export market, the turnover decreased by 33.1% from 37.9 million dinars at the end of June 2019 to 25.4 million dinars at the end of last June.

Production (by volume) in the first six months of the year decreased by 3.3% compared to the first half of 2019 to 541,751 standard batteries.

In addition, investments for the period were of the order of 1.2 million dinars, while the company’s total debt increased by 5.1% compared to 31 December 2019 to 70.6 million dinars.
