The Tunisian manufacturer of accumulators and batteries “ASSAD” recorded an 11.6% drop in total sales at the end of September compared with the same period in 2002, from TND 68.7 to TND 60.8 million.
On the local market, sales fell by 8.6% to TND 29 million dinars, compared with TND 31.7 million a year earlier, while on the export market sales fell by 14.1% to TND 31.8 million.
Production for the period increased by 11.9% year-on-year to 556,042 units (standard battery equivalent).
In addition, tangible and intangible investment for the period amounted to approximately TND 8.5 million.
The company’s total debt increased by 6% to TND 96.5 million, compared to December 31, 2022.
