Tunisia: ATB increases half-year profit by 20% to over 12 million dinars

The Arab Tunisian Bank (ATB) has published its interim financial statements for the half year ended June 30, 2010. These accounts show a net profit of 12.4 million dinars, compared with 10.3 million dinars a year earlier, an increase of 19.7%.

The bank recorded income from banking operations of 386.4 million dinars in the first half of the year, compared with 364.8 million dinars at the end of June 2023, up 5.9%.

Operating expenses rose from 197.5 million dinars in June 2023 to 204.1 million dinars last June, an increase of 3.3%.

As a result, net banking income (NBI) for the period grew by 8.9% to 182.2 million dinars.

Charges to provisions were virtually unchanged at 34.8 million dinars, while staff costs increased from 65.7 million dinars to 70.4 million dinars.

Operating profit for the first half of the year was 26.2 million dinars, up 65% from 15.8 million dinars a year ago.
