The Arab Tunisian Bank (ATB) has just published its financial statements for the year ending December 31, 2019.
These statements show a net profit of 6.3 million dinars, against a gain of 7.4 million in 2018, i.e. a decrease of 14%.
The bank’s net banking income stood at 239.4 million dinars last year against 246.4 million in 2018, posting a decline of 3%.
This decline results from the rise in operating expenses at a faster pace than that of operating income.
Indeed, banking operating expenses increased by 21% to 335 million dinars, while operating income grew by 10% to 574.3 million dinars.
The operating result also fell by 15.4% from 9.6 million dinars in 2018 to 8.1 million dinars in 2019.
