Tunisia: Attijari bank realizes 367-million-dinar NBI at end September

Attijari bank has just published its activity indicators relating to the third quarter of the current year.

The bank realized operating revenues of about 616.4 million dinars at the end of the first nine months of the year, against 610.2 million a year earlier, a slight growth of 1%.

This evolution is the result of the combined effect of the 5% increase in interest to 445.9 million dinars, the 12% decrease in commissions to 79.4 million dinars and the 6% decline in gains on commercial securities portfolio to 48.1 million dinars.

As for bank operating expenses, they fell from 252.4 million dinars at the end of September 2019 to 248.8 million dinars at the end of last September, down 1.4%.

As a result, net banking income (NBI) for the period rose by nearly 3% to 367.6 million dinars, compared to 357.8 million dinars a year earlier.

Outstanding customer loans amounted to 5.9 billion dinars at the end of September, compared to 5.7 billion dinars at the end of December 2019.

Outstanding deposits stood at 8 billion dinars, compared to 7.1 billion at the end of the past year.
