The activity of “Banque de l’Habitat” (BH ) was characterized by a slight increase in net banking income by 0.4 million dinars, or 0 71% during the first quarter of 2014, compared to the first quarter of 2013, due mainly to the positive growth of income from bank operations in the range of 10.4 million dinars.
BH also recorded an increase in trading portfolio by 251.21% resulting from growth in investment in bonds.
It also recorded an increase in customer deposits amounting to 157 million dinars, or 4.01%, due mainly to the positive development of demand deposits at a rate of 67 million dinars and term deposits, to the tune of 79 million dinars.
Figures for the first quarter of 2014 also point to an increase in outstanding loans to customers for an amount of 85 million dinars.
Bank operating expenses increased by 10 million dinars, i.e. 30.69 % due to the rise of customer deposits.
