Tunisia: BCT services control a cyberattack

The IT security device of the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT) had detected a cyberattack on March 23, 2022.

The attack was thwarted “thanks to the coordinated efforts between the services of the BCT and those of the National Agency for Computer Security (ANSI),” reads a statement from the Bank.

All the data of the BCT information system are intact, it reassured.

The BCT has, however, recorded some disruptions on some of its activities, including the website.

“The BCT reassured the public on the continuity of services in relation to the national and international banking system,” the BCT statement concluded.
