Mr. Sami Iskander, Executive Vice President and Managing Director of British Gas (BG), Africa, Middle East and Asia said his company is committed to increase its investments in Tunisia, particularly in the area of oil exploration.
He announced that BG Tunisia plans to expand its onshore fields of exploration and more specifically in the Gulf of Gabes.
Speaking, on Friday in Tunis, after a meeting with Interim Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali, Mr. Iskander stressed the efforts made to improve the security situation in Tunisia.
The official also said that the activities of BG Tunisia have not stopped, “even for one day,” since the Revolution of January 14, recalling that the company “has increased investment in social projects.”
