Tunisia: Trade balance for fishery products rises 43.5%

The trade balance of fishery products recorded a 109.8 million dinars (MD) surplus at the end of May 2022, against 76.9 MD during the same period of 2021, or a 43.5% increase, according to data published by the National Observatory of Agriculture (ONAGRI) Thursday.

Exports of fishery products reached 12,900 tonnes, worth 259.5 million dinars (MD) at the end of May 2022, against 9,200 tonnes worth 184 MD during the same period last year.

The quantities exported went up  40.2%. The value of export of these products saw an increase of 41%. As for the imports of fishing products, they reached nearly 26,000 tonnes, worth 149.7 MD at the end of May 2022, against 20,900 tonnes, worth 107.5 MD during the same period of 2021.
