Tunisia: CCIT develops electronic platform for local companies

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tunis (CCIT) is currently working on a major project to develop Tunisian exports and boost the relations between Tunisian and foreign businesses. It consists in an electronic platform.

Mounir Mouakher, President of the Chamber said the project is developed through a $150,000 donation granted by the U.S. Embassy.

Mouakher added that the platform is based on the following modules: networking, business opportunities, web conferencing, e-banking and management tools.

These Modules are likely to develop the activities carried out by all chambers of commerce in the country. “This project is essential to develop this activity because the ultimate goal is to benchmark around 5,000 Tunisian companies in 2014,” he has said.
