Tunisia, China sign MoU on agriculture and fisheries

Tunisia and China signed a memorandum of understanding on agriculture and fisheries.

The agreement aims to identify areas of cooperation to ensure the supply of Chinese market with requested products.

It should be noted that a Tunisian-Chinese shrimp aquaculture project that extends over two hectares has been in progress in Melloulech (Governorate of Mahdia) since February 2012. It is expected to begin production at the end of 2013 and will eventually be expanded to 22 hectares.
