Tunisia: COMAR Assurances records in 2021 largest profit in its history

The “Compagnie Méditerranéenne d’Assurances et de Réassurances” COMAR reported a record net profit of 33.8 million dinars, against 25.4 million a year earlier, a growth of about 33%.

This emerged from the draft resolutions to be submitted to the approval of the Ordinary General Assembly to be held on April 21 to rule on the financial statements of 2021.

In addition, an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) will be held the same day to deliberate

on the increase in the company’s share capital.

Indeed, the EGM will decide to increase the share capital of the company from 50 million dinars to 75 million, by direct incorporation in the capital of 25 million dinars to be taken from the item “Other reserves for all contingencies” and the increase of the nominal value of the 2.500.000 existing shares, to bring it from 20 dinars to 30 dinars of nominal value each.
