Tunisia cuts wheat imports, increases production

Tunisia is expected to import 1.5 million metric tons of wheat during the year beginning July 1, compared with approximately 1.7 million under the current campaign, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Production could reach 1.2 million tons next year, against 821,000 tons this year, the International Division of the U.S. Department of Agriculture predicts in a report published Friday on its website.
