The U.S. dollar last April 8 passed the mark of 3 dinars on the interbank market for the first time in nearly three years.
According to the average currency rates published by the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT), a dollar is now worth 3.003 dinars, exceeding for the first time the symbolic mark of three dinars since May 6, 2019.
This appreciation of the dollar against the dinar results from the progression of the greenback which reached last Wednesday a new peak of almost two years against a basket of peers and a peak of one month against the euro.
