Tunisia earns EU Privileged Partner status

Tunisia gained access to the Privileged Partner status of the European Union and received at the same time a donation of 68 million Euros, at the end of the ninth session of the Tunisian-European Association Council held Monday in Brussels.

Tunisia has agreed with the EU on a plan of action that will affect the political, economic, social and financial areas for the period 2013-2017, Riadh Bettaieb, Minister of Investment and International Cooperation said in a statement to TAP.

Talks on the detailed program of the execution of this plan of action will be initiated in early 2013. The objective is to define the priorities of each party for the coming period.
