Tunisia-Economy: World Bank sees ‘’positive signal’’

The recent improvement in economic indicators in Tunisia, in particular, the rate of growth, foreign investment, tourism and agriculture, is a positive signal that could be further improved through the ongoing process of reforms, said Jawad Talat, World Bank Executive Director.

He emphasized the need to reform the banking system, a key sector of development and investment, further strengthen SMEs and promote tourism, he said.

Moreover, he expressed the willingness of the institution to support Tunisia in order to ensure the success of desired programs and objectives.
