An agency of the Entrepreneur Financial Centre (EFC) of Tunisia has opened in Ariana, at the initiative of Canadian Organization “Développement international Desjardins” to bring financial services closer to small entrepreneurs.
Funds of 4 million dinars have been dedicated to finance small innovative projects in all industrial, agricultural and services sectors over the next five years in order to support the Tunisian economy and boost development, Canada’s ambassador in Tunis, Carol McQueen told TAP news agency Wednesday on the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony.
The diplomat stressed the willingness of her country to help Tunisia to promote the business climate and increase job opportunities for those having innovative ideas and projects.
Since its creation in 2015, the EFC Tunisia has financed 300 small projects through 5 million dinars, of which 30% for women’s projects, said Director General of the center Sylvain Bourgelas.
EFC provides loans of up to 20 thousand dinars, as well as support on implementation of projects.
