Egypt-based eSports platform, GBarena has announced an agreement to acquire Tunisia-based Galactech, created in 2019 by Houcem Maiza.
The acquisition under a share swap deal is valued at around $15 million.
GBarena, established in 2016 by Mustafa Zaza and Bishoy Mesdary, seeks to connect gamers with tournament organizers by means of an online gaming community, where they can handle their tournaments through fully automated processes.
Galactech, which has more than 200,000 active users, has raised $1.5 million in three rounds from OTF, OQAL Angels, and the Younsi family in Tunisia.
