Tunisia-EU-Textile: Training on access to finance for textile and clothing entrepreneurs, in April 2022

A training cycle on access to finance for innovators and entrepreneurs in the textile, clothing and fashion sector will be organised in April 2022, within the framework of the implementation of the STAND Up! project “Sustainable textile action for networking and development of companies in the circular economy in the Mediterranean”, financed by the European Union.

A call for applications, from February 16 to March 21, 2021, was launched Wednesday, to this effect, by the International Center for Environmental Technologies of Tunis (CITET) and the Technical Center for Textiles (CETTEX), for the selection of 10 candidates to benefit from this training.

This training aims to enable entrepreneurs in the textile and clothing sector to develop their skills in project financing, acquire the necessary knowledge for fundraising and have the opportunity to meet local and regional investors.

At least 50 entrepreneurs will be selected from the 5 partner countries of the project (Tunisia, Lebanon, Egypt, Italy, Spain) with an average of 10 entrepreneurs from each country. The training course will last 10 days and will start in April 2022.

The training programme will focus on financial forecasting for startups, understanding investment readiness, trends and opportunities in the investment landscape, different types of funding and investment, as well as communication and pitching skills.

This training programme will be followed by two events organised by each country to provide feedback to entrepreneurs and to gain local and regional exposure to potential investors.
