Tunisia, France sign eight cooperation agreements

French President Emmanuel Macron began his first state visit to Tunisia on Wednesday by signing eight cooperation agreements at the Presidential Palace in Carthage, in the presence of his Tunisian counterpart Beji Caid Essebsi.
These agreements are:
1- Joint declaration on French-Tunisian cooperation
2- Declaration of Intent on the fight against financing of terrorism
3- Declaration of intent on the creation of a support fund for development, enterprises, and entrepreneurship in Tunisia.
4- Declaration of intent for the creation of the French-Tunisian Federation for Africa and the Mediterranean.
5- Amendment to the financial protocol relating to the financing program for SMIs and SMEs
6- Amendment to the agreement between the two countries relating on the implementation of the conversion of Tunisia’s debt to France
7- Financing agreement in support of the plan of governance reform of the public enterprises
8- Financing agreement for the rehabilitation program of working-class neighborhoods.
