Globalstar Europe Satellite Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Globalstar, announced that its Tunisian SPOT dealer, VMD, has signed a three year agreement with the National Automobile Association as exclusive provider of emergency beacons and tracking solutions, including the Satellite Messenger SPOT and the SmartOne for all car rallies organized in Tunisia.
VMD will act as a national reseller for SPOT messenger of Globalstar and SmartOne and tracking products dedicated for shipping, outdoor recreation, the automotive and oil in the territory of North Africa through their dealer network in place. Combined with SPOT technology, VMD will launch its platform VMDtrac, which is a platform that combines satellite technology with cellular technology providing tracking services and regional emergency notification to public and private sectors.
