Tunisia: Governor of Central Bank dismissed

The Presidency of the Republic decided, Wednesday, to dismiss Governor of the Central Bank of Tunisia, Mustapha Kamel Nabli, a press statement of the Presidency of the Republic indicated without giving the reasons for dismissal.

The statement said that under the provisions of Article 26 of the Constitutive Act No. 6 of the year 2011 on the organization of the provisional authorities, and in agreement with the Prime Minister, President Moncef Marzouki issued a republican decree terminating the appointment of Mustapha Kamel Nabli, Governor of the BCT.

The statement added that under the provisions of said Act, the decree was referred to the National Constituent Assembly (NCA) for approval within a period not exceeding 15 days from the date of submission of the request to the Speaker of the NCA.
