Tunisia: volume of exports down 1.5% (5 months)

The volume of Tunisia’s exports (constant prices) fell 1.5% in the first 5 months of 2012, while imports’ were up 11.3%, according to figures from the National Institute of Statistics (INS).

This change is the result of an increase recorded at the level of prices at export 5.7% and import 2.9%.

In value terms, trade reached, during that period, 11,046.1 MTD at export and 15,539.9 MTD at imports, registering an increase of 4.1% and 14.5%, respectively, over the same period of the year 2011.
