Tunisia: growth will not exceed 2.7% in 2018, says World Bank

GDP growth in Tunisia will not go beyond 2.7% in 2018, the World Bank projected in its 2018 report on the Global Economic Prospects.
These estimates are below assumptions made in the preparation of the state budget for the current year, counting on a rate of 3%.

However, WB forecasts point to an increase at a higher rate in 2019, to 3.3% and will continue until 2020.

The WB estimates for the Tunisian economy coincide with forecasts that expect global growth of 3.1%, driven by an increase in investment flows greater than expected in 2017, according to the analysis of the WB.

Emerging and developing countries are expected to grow by more than 4% in 2018. The economy of developed countries will also grow in 2018.
