Two financing agreements on electricity and vocational training sectors were signed on Friday between the Tunisian Government and the IDB Group for 355 million Tunisian dinars (MTD).
The first agreement provides for meeting the growing demand in electricity and aims at creating a 400 MW power plant in Sousse with an estimated value of 352.12 million Euros.
IDB contributes up to 155.16 million Euros to this project through forward sale to STEG accompanied by a sovereign guarantee of the Tunisian Government.
In the second agreement, $ 47 million has been allocated to develop a system of education and vocational training. The agreement also aims to increase opportunities for high level professional learning (208 teachers and more than 50 coaches …).
