An increase in the share of loans granted to the services sector, as well as to agriculture and fisheries, at the expense of the industrial sector, was recorded in 2024, according to the sectoral distribution of outstanding professional loans, as highlighted in the Central Bank of Tunisia’s annual report for the 2024 fiscal year.
Indeed, the outstanding loans granted to the agriculture and fisheries sector continued their upward trend, though at a slower pace, moving from 9.7% (3.9 billion dinars in 2023) to 7.8% (4.2 billion dinars in 2024) year-on-year.
