Tunisia: investment reported in services down 38%

According to the latest APII indicators, investment reported in the service activities during the first six months of 2018 reached the amount of 782.9 MD against 1271.3 MD during the same period of 2017, down 38.4 %.

The number of projects reported reached 5,809 in the first six months of 2018 compared to 4,714 in the first six months of 2017, an increase of 23.2%.

These projects will create 23593 jobs, compared to 20,621 jobs in the first six months of 2017, i.e. an increase of 14.4%.

Thus, the month of June 2018 saw the reporting of 754 service projects corresponding to an investment amount of 202.6 MD and job creations to the number of 3,966.

Compared to the previous month during which 955 projects, 139.2 MD investment and 3,795 jobs were reported, the month of June saw a decrease of 21.0% in the projects to be achieved, a 45.5% rise in reported investment and 4.5% in the jobs to be created.
