Investments in projects whose cost is higher than 5 MD, rose 71.2% from 146 million Tunisian dinars (MTD) in January 2012, to 249.9 MTD, in January 2013, said the recent newsletter of the Industry Promotion Agency (API).
The number of these projects fell from 15 to 12 during the month of January 2013, down 20%. These projects will create 2,056 job positions, against 793 job positions during the month of January 2012, up 159.3%.
It should be noted that projects with a cost of over 5 MTD which account only for 3.6% of projects reported and 30.1% of jobs, total 71.1% of all investments reported.
