Tunisia: Italy to train 17 young executives in e-commerce

A contract was signed on Monday between the National Informatics Centre and the Italian School of Business Administration (SAA), subsidiary of the Italian polytechnic, announced Lazhar Bennour, director of e-commerce and virtual economy at the Ministry of Commerce.

In a statement to Africanmanager, he said that 17 young Tunisian executives are concerned by this contract. They are 12 young professionals and 5 experienced executives who will later receive a training session of one to three months in Tunisia and also in Italy.

The official, whom we met on the sidelines of a press conference organized by the Department of Commerce, said that this partnership will enable SMEs to benefit from mentoring, adequate awareness while respecting a set of rules aimed to promote electronic commerce.

In addition to training, Lazhar Bennour said there will be seminars and workshops during the second phase, which will affect the inland areas of Tunisia, with the aim to better contribute to the promotion of Tunisian SMEs.

On another hand, he noted that the signing of this contract comes at the right time. For e-commerce industry continues to show good results, in comparison with the previous period. The proliferation of commercial sites and improving of turnover confirm what the official’s statement.
