Adel Chouari, Director General of the National Business Registry (RNE), announced the launch of a new digital process allowing companies to register their existence remotely.
Speaking to Express FM on Monday, February 16, 2026, he explained that this decision, taken by the Ministry of Finance, crowns a reform process initiated in 2024.
The reform aims to digitize business creation procedures and unify tax registration and legal incorporation into a single integrated process, ending the previous complexity and duplication of steps while resolving prior mismatches between tax administration databases and the National Business Registry.
Chouari added that the new digital platform will allow investors or project holders to submit all required documents online.
These documents will be sent directly to the General Tax Directorate to obtain the declaration of existence. The tax identification number will then be automatically sent to the National Business Registry to finalize the legal incorporation of the company, without the need to visit multiple administrative offices.
He emphasized that this measure establishes the principle of a “single digital window,” enabling all business creation steps to be completed in one automated space.
He also noted that remote registration requires creating an account on the platform using a digital identity or legally recognized electronic signature methods.
Regulated professionals, such as lawyers and accountants, will be able to access it directly under specific agreements.
Chouari concluded that the platform represents a major step in administrative reform and will contribute to improving the business climate in Tunisia.
