Tunisia: Leoni funds two social projects

Leoni, one of the world’s leading providers of wires, optical fibers, cables, cable systems, and related services to the automotive industry and many others, is preparing to fund two social projects in Tunisia with a donation of € 50,000.

The group, based in Nuremberg (Germany), and viewed through its subsidiary LEONI Wiring Systems Tunisia as the largest private employer in Tunisia with over 13,000 employees across three production sites (Messadine, North Mateur and South Mateur), decided to promote social projects that would have little chance of development without private funding, especially during a time when the state has other priorities to manage.

Leoni’s contribution to the social and economic level will be initiated by the construction of a new classroom at the “Ibn Al Haitham” school of Messaadine.

Having reached the limits of its capacity, the school was in dire need of a new classroom to accommodate new pupils. As for the second social project, Leoni will participate, through a donation, to the construction of a Centre for the care of autistic children who have developmental damage. The Association for the Support of Autistic Children in M’saken is the company’s vis-à-vis t for this social project…

Note that, Leoni is a global leader in cables, optical fiber and cable systems German company, as well as services related to the field of automobile and other industries.
