Tunisia: liquidity needs of banks increase according to BCT

The Executive Board of the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT), which met Wednesday, October 29, 2014, has, in monetary terms, noted an increase in the liquidity needs of banks in October, after a decline for three consecutive months, resulting in an increase in the refinancing volume which stood at 5,166 MTD average daily until October 28 against 4,626 MTD last September.

Therefore, the average interest rate on the money market recorded some increase to 4.94% during the same period, against 4.92% in the previous month.
