The 14th Mediterranean Building Fair (MEDIBAT) will take place from March 8 to 11, 2017. This event takes place at a special moment marked by the organization in November 2016 of the International Conference “Tunisia 2020” and the prospect of achieving mega projects in Tunisia, the Maghreb and
several African countries.
The participation of China, Germany, Algeria, Libya and Burkina Faso has already been confirmed, according to a statement of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Sfax which is organizing the fair.
Algeria, Libya and Burkina Faso days are scheduled for this occasion.
The Economic Forum will focus on “Strengthening Public Private Partnership (PPP) in the Building and Infrastructure Sector in Africa 2017”.
Major PPP projects to be carried out in several African countries (Chad, Niger, Gabon, Mali, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon and Guinea Conakry) will be presented.
A workshop on the financing of PPP projects will be attended by representatives of the African Development Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
The theme of the Scientific Forum is “Innovation and enhancement in the construction sector”.
According to its organizers, the previous edition of MEDIBAT had the participation of 421 exhibitors from 52 countries and more than 54 thousand visitors.
