The quantities of milk produced in the governorate of Sidi Bouzid during the first half of this year went up 3 million liters compared with the same period of 2014 (68 million liters).
Speaking on Express Fm, Fathi Brahmi regional director of the Office of Livestock and pastures, said the annual production of milk in the governorate of Sidi Bouzid reached 140 million liters of which are more than 130 million collected, while the quantities processed are estimated at 128 million liters or 95% of production.
Still according to Fathi Brahmi, the governorate of Sidi Bouzid ranks first in terms of collection, accounting for 16% of domestic production.
Nearly 19 milk collection centers with a total capacity of 300,000 liters per day are active in the region.
