Tourism, one of the main pillars of the Tunisian economy, generated revenues of around 7,495 million dinars in 2024. This represents an increase of 574 million dinars (+8.3%) compared to 2023.
In dollar terms, Tunisia’s tourism receipts amounted to the equivalent of 2,408 million dollars (average annual exchange rate in 2024: 1 dollar = 3.1122 dinars).
Last year, Tunisia’s tourism sector continued its post-pandemic recovery. According to preliminary figures, the number of tourists exceeded 10 million at the end of last year, showing positive signs of recovery and transformation.
Despite the challenges, the adaptability of the tourism sector bodes well for a promising 2025, provided that efforts to modernize and diversify are maintained.
