Economist Hechmi Alaya said Tunisia needs structural economic reforms and a change in its development model in order to overcome the crisis and the state of deficit.
Speaking on Express Fm on Tuesday, January 31, 2017, Alaya added that the state needs €2 billion to achieve the ambitions of the Finance Law 2017.
He also said that the increase in wages has led to a continuous trade deficit since 2011 because it affects the competitiveness of enterprises and lowers exports.
