Following a visit by the Governor of Jendouba, Taieb Deridi, it has been decided to establish a new tourist zone in the Aïn Draham delegation.
The project aims to provide comprehensive infrastructure, transform the region’s tourism model, enhance local tourist offerings, increase accommodation capacity, stimulate investment in the sector, create permanent and seasonal jobs, and boost regional development, according to Mosaique FM.
The decision came after an inspection of the selected site, unanimously chosen for the new tourist zone.
Covering approximately 52 hectares, the area is located near a local road and is equipped with potable water and electricity networks.
It also boasts significant aesthetic and environmental assets, as well as natural features that make it a strategic location for year-round tourism and leisure, including winter activities.
The governor has instructed the launch of all necessary legal and organizational procedures to implement the project, in coordination with the Ministries of Agriculture, Water Resources and Fisheries, State Property, and Land Affairs.
He also called for collaboration with the local municipality to prepare a detailed development plan as soon as possible to ensure the project is quickly realized.
