The next population census will be held in April 2014, Director General of the National Institute of Statistics (INS), Jaleleddine Ben Rejeb announced Thursday.
He said at a press conference held in Tunis, this census, the first after the Revolution of January 14, 2011, will provide more precise indicators of unemployment, employment and poverty in the country, including in Imadas, to establish development policies tailored to each region.
A budget of 47 million dinars will be allocated to the census, 7 million dinars of which have been taken from the state budget for 2012 for the implementation of preparations prior to the said census.
