More than 60 direct business-to-business (B2B) meetings were held in Tunis between Nigerian businesspeople and Tunisian professionals operating in the agri-food industry, particularly in olive oil, dates, pasta, and dairy products, according to a statement released Wednesday by the Exports Promotion Center (CEPEX).
These meetings, held on Tuesday, aim to strengthen Tunisia–Nigeria relations, increase bilateral trade volume, and diversify its composition.
They are also intended to deepen Tunisia’s economic integration within Africa, enhance its presence in Sub-Saharan markets and capitalize on the opportunities offered by the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), according to the same source.
The Nigerian delegation’s visit continues on April 29 and 30 with a series of field visits (Door-to-Door, D2D) to several Tunisian exporting companies in the agri-food sector.
For reference, trade between Tunisia and Nigeria reached around 100.9 million dinars in 2025.
Nigeria is Tunisia’s fourth-largest market in Sub-Saharan Africa, with exports rising to 98.2 million dinars in 2025.
